• Casanova / Don Juan – Wandering of Love, directed by Stathis Livathinou at Piraeus 260

With the long-awaited show “Casanova / Don Juan – Wandering of Love”presented at Piraeus 260, o Stathis Livathinos returns to the Athens Epidaurus Festival this year, with his stable team of actors and collaborators by his side. Ten years after “The Iliad”, one of the top theatrical moments of the Festival, Stathis Livathinos will face off with two classic literary works, which revolve around the mythical figure of Don Juan and the historical personality of Casanova. These are “Don Juan” by Lord Byron and “The End of Casanova” by Marina Tsvetaeva. Both texts are born in turbulent times and the feeling that something is ending is inscribed in their core.

The performance “The Work” by Mariano Pensotti is presented at Piraeus 260 as part of the Athens Epidaurus Festival 2023. The show starts from the “true story” of Simon Frank, a Polish Jew and the last survivor of the Holocaust. In his works, the internationally acclaimed, pioneering Argentinian director Mariano Pensotti focuses on the relationship between documentary and fiction, fantasy and reality, often drawing from his own life or that of his collaborators. In “La Obra” he invents as his alter ego the theater director Walid Mansour.
