Two spin-offs of his series “The Walking Dead” and his next season “Interview With the Vampire” filming can resume despite ongoing strike in Hollywood after deal reached with Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA).

AMC’s three series are the most popular television productions yet to receive a so-called “interim agreement” from SAG-AFTRA.

The approval was granted Wednesday because cable channel AMC and production company Stalwart Films are not members of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) — the coalition of studios against which the actors are striking — although they are known as “authorized companies” that adhere to the contracts entered into by AMPTP.

What the deals for the three series define

TV productions “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” and “Interview With the Vampire” will continue filming the second season. And the deal will allow the cast of “The Walking Dead: Those Who Live” to participate in post-production work on the first cycle.

No new scripts will be allowed to be written for these series, however, because the Writers Guild of America, in perhaps the most significant departure from the Screen Actors Guild, has chosen not to grant such licenses.
