The construction of the dressing room of the Piraeus favorite actor of Greek cinema is expected to be completed by the end of the year
The dressing room of the leading Greek actor Dimitris Papamichail will adorn the Municipal Theater of Piraeus from the new year, with manuscripts, photographs, theatrical costumes, his personal belongings and an honorary Olympiacos cup among the valuable exhibits.
The well-known actress and last partner of Dimitris Papamichael, Nadia Mourouzi, respecting his wish to create his dressing room from the historic radio station of Piraeus, granted to “Channel One 90.4”, objects of historical value, in order to remain forever in the city where he was born and loved.
We remind you that Dimitris Papamichail was a founding member of Piraeus Municipal Radio and his voice “dressed” the first signal of “Channel One 90.4”, which went on the “air” on May 13, 1987, inaugurating the “Spring of of Hellenic Radio”.
The architectural design and artistic curation of Dimitris Papamichail’s dressing room is generously undertaken by the great set designer Manolis Pantelidakis.
The mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Moralis, embraced from the first moment the initiative of “Channel One 90.4” and coordinated the actions of the Municipal Radio, the Municipal Theater and OPAN. for the immediate implementation of the project.
