Flora and fauna abounded as it unfolded in this year’s Paris Fashion Week his fertile creativity Jun Takahashi. The iconic brand Undercover by the Japanese designeradmired as a cult brand in everyday wear and as a permanent presence on the high fashion calendar of the City of Light, presented the collection “Dense fog”.

After eight minutes of ethereal and light fabrics zipping down the catwalk, the lights dimmed and shimmering garments began to swim like jellyfish from the depths of the oceans. Filled with pinwheels and butterflies, garments reminiscent of terrariums (glasses for animals and plants) lit up the concrete runway. Once again, Takahashi has confirmed his reputation as one of the most darkly charming, revolutionary and often paradoxical imaginations in the fashion world today.

Born in Gunma Prefecture, Takahashi studied fashion at Bunka Fashion College in 1988. In the early 1990s he launched the brand Undercover. Progenitor of the now global casual wear trend, the brand debuted with a show at Tokyo Fashion Week in 1994 and made its European debut with a show at Paris Fashion Week in 2002.
