Filming begins for the movie “Maria Callas” in Pyrgos with Angelina Jolie as the protagonist. According to information, the main actress and the cast of the film have arrived in Ilia, and will probably stay at the Aldemar Resort in Skafidi.
The production crews are already setting up the equipment and scenery at the Apollo theater in Pyrgos, which has been chosen by the director for the needs of the filming that has already started in Paris and will continue in Budapest.
As is already known, the filming will take place on the yacht Christine O which previously belonged to Aristotle Onassis and where the great Greek opera diva spent several moments.
The superstar Angelina Jolie will embody Maria Callas, while the also great star Valeria Golino will have the role of the Greek diva.
The role of Aristotle Onassis will be played by the Turkish actor Haluk Bilginer.
The film is a Biopic production supported in Greece by Heretic.
