Tallulah Willis, one of Bruce Willis’ daughters, spoke about her father’s current health. In an interview with “The Drew Barrymore Show”, this Wednesday (8), she highlighted that, despite the challenges of the actor’s diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, he remains the same person loved by his family.
“He’s the same, which in that respect I think I’ve learned is the best thing you can ask for. I see the love when I’m with him, and it’s my dad and he loves me, which is really special,” Tallulah stated.
The presenter questioned the artist’s heiress about the family’s decision to be so open about her father’s diagnosis. “I think there are two reasons. On the one hand, it’s who we are as a family, but it’s also really important for us to spread awareness [sobre a doença].”
She revealed that the family had little knowledge about the condition before Willis’ diagnosis. “And part of what has been a really beautiful way of healing from this is becoming a kind of ‘archaeologist’ of my father’s world, of his little trinkets and objects,” she added.
The Hollywood actor’s family publicly shared Bruce Willis’ dementia diagnosis in February through a joint statement. At the time, they explained that “communication problems are one of the symptoms of the illness that Bruce faces” and highlighted that, although the situation is painful, the clear diagnosis provided some relief.
Tallulah, 29, is the youngest daughter of Willis and actress Demi Moore, to whom he was married for 13 years. The couple are also parents to Rumer and Scout. After his relationship with Moore, the actor married model Emma Heming, with whom he had two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn.
