With photographs, publications and audiovisual material, the Photographic Center of Thessaloniki (FKTH), participating in the global celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Fyodor Dostoevsky (1821-2021), presents the diverse exhibition “Silence of Prisoners”.

The exhibition will be inaugurated tomorrow (Wednesday, February 9), at 7 pm, at the Municipal Gallery of Thessaloniki Casa Bianca, by the Deputy Mayor of Culture and Tourism Maria Karagiani.

FKTH, through this multifaceted production, presents the photographic material of the action “Photography reads Dostoevsky”, an exhibition of books by artists, publications referring to the leading Russian author, while at the same time a film created for him will be screened. purpose.

The photo exhibition entitled “Photography reads Dostoevsky”, curated by Katerina Batziou, features the following photographers from all over Greece: Kimon Axaopoulos, Manolis Varnas, Rena Giannioudaki, Stella Gidari, Lefteris Kaverkis , Vassilis Karkatselis, Aggeliki Kastrinelli, Natassa Lantzaki, Zoi Melliou, Giannis Monogyios, Nikos Basias, Katerina Batziou, Ioannis Benekos, Maria Niora, Dimitra Papageorgiou, Kati Papanavis, Perinamis Yanaris, Perinamis Stampanis, Iordanka Tenova, Victoria Tzoura, Anna-Maria Chatzistefanou and Anna Chrysidi.

At the same time, the Casa Bianca will display an important part of a private collection, collectibles and contemporary publications about Dostoevsky, curated by Sakis Otambasidis, while a film will be shown with the actions of FKTH to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the author γ’s birth, in curated by Giannis Frangoulis.

The exhibition “Silence of Prisoners” will last until February 26. Opening hours: Tuesday-Friday 10: 00-18: 00 pm, Saturday 11: 00-18: 00 pm and Sunday 11: 00-16: 00.
