Famous and anonymous people used social media to criticize the speeches of the podcaster Monark (Bruno Aiub), from Flow Podcast, who defended the right of existence of a Nazi party, this Tuesday (8). After that, the influencer joined the most talked about topics on Twitter, was disconnected from the Flow channel and the episode was removed from the air.
Singer Tico Santa Cruz, who has already been on the show, said he will stop following the YouTube channel, regretted that the obvious has to be explained every day and asked for the episode he participated to be taken off the air.
“Following Monark’s support for the creation of a Nazi party, I publicly ask that my episode on the Flow Podcast be taken off the air immediately,” said the singer.
Writer Henry Bugalho wrote on Twitter that Monark and federal deputy Kim Kataguiri DEM-SP) defended the right to have a Nazi party. “That’s right, Nazi! – in Brazil it’s the biggest reflection of these times we live in.”
Antonio Tabet, one of the creators of Porta dos Fundos and who has already been on the Flow Podcast, highlighted that the topic of the day is a popular influencer defending Nazism in the company of two deputies.
“But why don’t news channels on TV talk about it? It’s a great opportunity to inform and establish themselves, but they still think that only they guide the country?” asked Tabet.
Next, Tabet shared an old post of Monark mocking everyone who wanted him out of Flow. In the publication, Monark said that the podcast was “a dictatorship” of him and Igor and that everyone would have to put up with his madness. “That tweet hasn’t aged well, no…” Tabet commented.
One netizen said that Monark is over, but asked about Congressman Kim Kataguiri and journalist Rodrigo Constantino. “What about Kim Kataguiri? No one will tag? Rodrigo Constantino won’t explain himself too, what did he mean by sensitive subject? How difficult is it to understand that apology for Nazism is the apex of absurdity in addition to crime?”
Professor Pedro Brandão commented on his Twitter profile that Monark finally voiced the logic he had been dying to unleash for years: “If the guy wants to be a Nazi, he has the right to be”. For him, the podcaster has already overcome the barrier of stupidity. “Now he’s come to crime. He should be talking in prison.”
A netizen praised that some people who participated in the program are asking Flow to remove their episodes from the air, but recalled that there was not the same reaction when Monark had racist lines. “But it’s curious that when Monark was openly racist, no one did the same, including people who call themselves leftists, against racism stuck there later.”
Despite the criticism, there were netizens defending the podcaster claiming that he is defending freedom of expression. “There’s no apology for Nazism in this shit, he just spoke in a very shitty way, which will open a gap for the engaged twitterer to seal and say Nazism no, look how kind I am”, wrote a user of the social network.
