Mariana Goldfarb recalls abusive relationship: ‘Everything the abuser says is a lie’

Ex-wife of Cauã Reymond, model Mariana Goldfarb used social media to vent about an abusive relationship she claims to have been through. Without revealing names, she talked about the times when she would have been discouraged from working.

“When I got out of the abusive relationship I had, I was told that I wouldn’t work as often as I do, that no one would want me, that I wouldn’t amount to anything, that my temper is super difficult,” he began in a series of videos on social media.

“I wanted to tell you the following: don’t fall for this nonsense. You are completely capable of working, of structuring yourself, of being independent, of building a new life”, added the model.

In her outburst, she points out: “Everything the abuser says to undermine self-confidence, our self-love, the way we communicate with the world, is a lie.”

According to her, it was only after leaving her old relationship that she realized there was a world of possibilities. “And I know it’s scary to leave certain situations, to be used to where we are. But there is a world out there of possibilities and there are also our talents.”

Cauã Reymond and Mariana Goldfarb announced their breakup in April this year. They both spent seven years together. The two made their union official in an intimate ceremony attended only by family and a few friends. “Cycles begin and end,” Mariana began in the statement.

She continued with the announcement of the separation: “The cycle of my life with Cauã has come to an end. I leave all this very aware of what I learned in these years of relationship. I have the best exchanges here, so I felt that I should also share this, after all After all, our life is not made up of only good things.”
