Cameron Diaz says couples with ‘separate bedrooms and houses’ should be ‘normalized’

by

Actress Cameron Diaz, 51, thinks it should be “normalized” for couples to not just have separate bedrooms, but separate homes.

Married to the guitarist of the band Good Charlotte, Benji Madden, since 2015, she made these revelations during an appearance on the podcast “Lipstick on the Rim” this Tuesday (19). The actress and Madden are parents to a girl, Raddix, who was born in January 2020.

“For me, literally, I have my house, you have yours,” Diaz said. “We have the family house in the middle. I’ll sleep in my room. You’ll sleep in your room. It’s okay.” “And we have the room in the middle where we can come together for our relations,” the actress added.

The podcast hosts found Diaz’s bold opinion amusing and said she probably shouldn’t have shared her unconventional opinion with the public.

“I already said that,” replied the actress. “In fact, I don’t feel that way now just because my husband is wonderful. I said that before I got married.”

In the same interview, she also broke her silence on rumors that actor Jamie Foxx’s behavior on the set of the film “Back in Action” had caused her to abandon acting for the second time.

She specifically mentioned rumors that Foxx was “making everything miserable” behind the scenes, which allegedly caused her to “never do another movie again.”

Diaz said the reports couldn’t be further from the truth. “Jamie is the best. I love this guy so much,” he said. “He’s such a special person and so talented, so much fun.”

She admitted there were “mishaps” on set. However, she classified it as just “natural things that happen.”
