The Ministry of Culture continues the strengthening and promotion of modern Greek culturewith the implementation by the Hellenic Film Center (HKC) of five new financial programs to strengthen Greek cinematography, through the Recovery and Resilience Fund (TAA).

Last Tuesday, February 13, the Greek Cypriot Council approved the financial support of the production of thirteen film projects with a total amount of 1,262,000 euros.

The Deputy Minister of Culture, in charge of Contemporary Culture issues, Christos Dimas, told APE-MPE: “Using resources from the TAA, we are supporting thirteen domestic as well as international film productions with the total amount of 1,262,000 euros, which was approved on February 13 by the EKK Our goal is both to strengthen domestic film producers and to attract producers from abroad, as well as to promote modern Greek culture worldwide.”

The approvals concern the new financing programs “Co-Production Window” and “Micro-Budget Plus” implemented within the framework of the TAA project, “EKK: Programs to support cinematography”. The “Program to support International Co-productions/Extroversion of long or short films”, with the distinctive title “Co-Production Window”, aims to strengthen extroversion, directing our producers towards international co-productions. Meanwhile, the “Film Production Support Program – Micro-Budget Plus”, facilitates access to financing for small and independent producers, aiming to support and promote the domestic film scene.

Within the framework of the Co-Production Window Program, it was decided to approve the following eight producers, with a budget of 962,000 euros:
