Queen Elizabeth II, 95, launched a perfume for dogs. Titled Happy Hounds Dog Cologne, the fragrance is described as “a rich, musky scent with citrusy bergamot notes”, and promises to smell like “coastal walks”.
According to the newspaper The Sun, the perfume for dogs will be sold for 9.99 euros, about R$ 58. The product will be available at the Sandringham Estate gift shop in Norfolk, England. The fragrance is described as “unisex” and will be “long lasting”.
In addition, the product can be used on men, women and dogs. The store also features the Sandringham Happy Hound Gift Box, the “ideal gift for dog lovers and their furry friends”. The kit includes dog shampoo, hunting bones and a toy.
The queen owned corgi and dorgi (corgi-dachshund crossbreeds) dogs in her adult life. In May 2021, she mourned the loss of Fergus, one of the new puppies she had when her husband Prince Philip (1921–2021) was in hospital. “It’s all very sad,” a source told People at the time.
Recently, the monarch completed 70 years of reign, a feat achieved for the first time in history. To mark the date, the GNT channel and Globoplay brought to Brazil the documentary “Elizabeth: A Rainha Por Trás da Coroa”.
The production features newly discovered home movies that promise to lift the mask of royalty and reveal the real Elizabeth Windsor, seen from her own little-known universe as a mother, breadwinner, wife, cook, animal lover, farmer and comedian.
