Wilson’s personal story, which is far from sudden success, is fascinating, and the Hulu special will include interviews with family members of the Louisiana-born singer-songwriter and offer behind-the-scenes footage of her concerts.
Laney Wilson was born in Baskin, Louisiana, a village of just 300 people. Her father was a farmer and her mother taught school. Wilson began writing song lyrics when she was just nine years old and learned to play the guitar at the age of eleven. In many concerts, she opened the show singing her own songs and then ended the show as Hannah Montana, a character that made Miley Cyrus famous.
