Former brunette from É o Tchan, Juliane Almeida started practicing bodybuilding three years ago and in recent months, she had been training hard to participate in one of the most important championships in the United States in the city of Pittsburg. The Brazilian reached the finals but lost the tournament. The reason? The referee interpreted that the Wellnes category athlete would have “fake glutes”.
“I lost and stayed until the end to get the feedback. I don’t know whether to cry or laugh… the feedback was that my glutes didn’t look real. The judges claimed that I had supposedly put something on. Just laughing!”, he began Juliane in Instagram stories.
She continued: “How do I prove that my buttocks are mine? I make myself available to prove that they are big, full. In Brazil, everyone knows that I didn’t put anything in. But how can I prove it? Just by reducing the volume”, acknowledged the professor of Physical Education and Nutritionist, who has lived in Orlando, United States, for eight years and owns a bodybuilding studio.
Juliane also said that the referee analyzed her physique. “They said that from the front I look very good, but that the condition of the front is not the same as the back. So we will have to dry the buttocks to make them appear drier, as they are on the front”, continued the athlete who intends to continue preparing for the Olympia, one of the most important bodybuilding competitions in the world.
According to Muscle Contest International, the Wellness division is aimed at women with muscular harmony and no clear muscle separation. Wellness is known as the category of female muscular beauty with natural curves. The “queen” of the Wellness category is Brazilian Francielle Mattos, who has won the Olympia three times.
The former dancer said she felt wronged. “There’s the feeling of ‘will it just be these judges?’. In the last one, it didn’t happen because I lost my glutes in the final, and it wasn’t what we wanted. We wanted it full, as it came. There’s that dissatisfaction. I did I did my best and I was wronged”, he concluded.
