The “House of the Dragon” he returned and is ready to pin us down. In the HBO prequel series, which in Greece we see exclusively through Vodafone TV, the characters are again countless, but unlike the original Game of Thronesthey now belong to the same larger soi, rather than a bunch of different kingdoms, families, and factions.

The first of eight episodes of the series was released on June 16. The HBO series had already proven – two years ago – that it had inherited much of the appeal of “Game of Thrones” – if only one remembers the viral video that showed the windows of a New York apartment building lighting up in a dance when it aired the first episode on TV. Few series today can boast that they retain the old power of television, where people committed to tuning in at a specific time for each week’s episode.

The death of Luke Targaryen is the trigger for the second season of “House of the Dragon,” which begins with the characters grieving and preparing for the aftermath of the tragedy. “House of the Dragon” stands out for its strong female perspective, with two women at the center of the story, played by Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke.

House of the Dragon

The series, from George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal takes us 200 years into the past of the fictional history of Westeros, long before Ned Stark’s head fell off and long before Jamie Lannister pushed a child out of a tower window, exclaiming “the things I do for love.”

“House of the Dragon” entered its second season with the peace of mind of knowing that a third has been confirmed. Let’s enjoy it…
