‘My cancer came back in four different places’, says Preta Gil

After announcing that she had resumed cancer treatment, Preta Gil, 50, gave more details about the disease this Sunday (25). She said that the tumor returned in four different places in her body. “I have two lymph nodes, a metastasis in the peritoneum and a lesion. I came for routine exams and we were all surprised. Me, doctors, friends. It’s more common than you might think, but it’s a big scare,” Preta began.

Gilberto Gil’s daughter also said that the first cycle of chemotherapy was completed this Sunday (25). The next phase will be to recover from the treatment for a few days at home and then return to the hospital for another cycle. “On Thursday I started my chemotherapy. I finished the first cycle. I will stay at home for 12 days and then return to the hospital. My oncological treatment routine is back so that I can cure the four cancer foci that I mentioned,” she said.

The singer then asked her fans not to stop praying. “Keep praying for me. I’m fine, with a good head, much better than when I started treatment in 2023. Full of will to live,” added Preta Gil, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer, also called colorectal cancer, in January 2023.
