Lytrotis Sporar, slandered Panathinaikos in the 96th minute!

THE Panathinaikos prevailed 1-0 of Levadeikou in the Olympic stadium for the 2nd matchday of the Stoiximan Super League and, albeit sporadically, took his first victory in the league.

The “greens” seemed… incorrigible, having again lots of phasing issues and lack of consistencyguilty of all seven changes from Alonso’s side, which would have cost them two more home points had he not scored in 96′ the Sporar who had entered a change – taking the… rebound from Tete’s header!

With the “hard-nosed” neophytes giving them a hard time, having too beam, just in the 1st minute with Gianniotasbringing out other phases, until they are pushed too hard at the end and… give in.

Panathinaikos next duty in the league, against Athens Kallithea next Sunday (01/09), away from home, while three days earlier they will welcome Lance. With Levadeakos welcoming AEK, for the 3rd matchday.

In the minds of the coaches:

THE Panathinaikos lined up with a system 4-2-3-1Dragovski in goal and Vaiannidis, Senkefeld, Jedvai and Max four at the back. Maksimovic and Cerin were the two on the axis, with Mancini, Bacacetta and Pellistri in the trio behind Geremegev, who formed the center forward.

THE Levadean on the other hand it also “descended” in formation 4-2-3-1 and Groff under the goalposts, Kassos, Tsapras, Papadopoulos and Vichos made up the quartet in defense. Plegas and Balchi played as “cutters”, Pedroso had a free role, while Gianniotas and Kostis fought on the wings and Osbolt at the top of the attack.

The match:

Levadeakos came very close to starting with… goals from the locker roomafter before the first minute was completed, he won a corner in his first attack. With Gianniotas doing one very nice volley in the second beam, Dragovski one even nicer operation and, with the help of the crossbar, keep it 0-0!

Panathinaikos’ response was immediate, two minutes later, but also… misguided, since Geremegev did not take advantage of the very clever slash of Mancini, placing Groff high in the four a four!

The Boeotians continued to play quickly on the counter and they found a new phase to score in the 5th minute, when Gianniotas crossed from the right, Osbolt made the projection on the edge of the small area, but missed.

Having obvious problem in development and the creation of opportunities, the “clover” found it difficult to become a threat, although they gradually took possession of the ball and played the opponent in the half of the field, from the 15′ onwards.

We had to reach the 23rd minute, for the next goal phase to come. Phase, however, which wasted and this one, as after the cooperation of Cherin-Geremeev, the former came out against Grof, but the goalkeeper of Levadeiakou saved the Slovenian midfielder’s shot with his feet!

With the guests to close the spaces well after half an hour, but also the players of Panathinaikos to play in a hurry, trying to find them disorganized, the winners came out first.

As well as keeping the opponent away from Groff’s frames with relative ease, until the break, they also created irritation for him.

The second half started with the “greens” having the first remarkable phase, with… good morning, but Vaiannidis-Schenkefeld not being able to make it 1-0, after a nice free kick by Bakasetta.

Levadeiakos scored with Gianniotas, in a counter-attack, in the 54th minute, but Osbolt was ruled offside at the start and, with the use of VAR, the goal did not count.

To follow the triple intervention of Diego Alonso, who threw in the match Tete, Djuricic and Sporar and changed the formation of his team to 4-4-2wanting to put more pressure on the opponent, by completing one hour of the match.

Even so, however, Panathinaikos failed to become productivein fact, seeing his opponent miss an opportunity to open the scoring in the 76th minute, with Kassos shooting incorrectly, although unmarked, from the height of the area…

It is indicative, then, that the home team they made their next finals in overtime of the match, having taken massive measures on the field, under the pressure of the “gel”.

With Geremegev missing a great chance to make it 1-0, with Groff effectively neutralized, having earlier parried Maksimovic’s shot, in the first of these…

But for Sporar to take the “rebound” and with a place in the development of the phase to shape the final result, breaking out in celebrations like everyone in OAKA!

MVP: Just the fact that he scored the goal that was supposed to give Panathinaikos the three points is enough. How much more so when the Andraz Sporarfor which reason, he succeeded on the one hand by coming on as a substitute, on the other hand in the sixth minute of stoppage time!
