The well-known and beloved businessman of Crete, Manolis Papakaliatishis father Christoforos Papakaliatissince October 21, hospitalization in the ICU of the Venizeli Hospital of Heraklion after traffic accident which he had when he was run over by a passing motorbike and was seriously injured.

The commander of the hospital, Giorgos Chalkiadakis, spoke on ANT1’s Breakfast and gave all the information about the state of health of Manolis Papakaliatis, revealing that there was a serious complication that led to his intubation.

“His health is steadily improving. He is still hospitalized in the ICU because he developed a complication, he developed pneumonia in the right lung which fortunately is progressing smoothly. I reckon that in the next few days he will be able to leave the Unit and go to a shared ward.

He had a tracheostomy done last week because he had to be intubated. Christoforos is always by his father’s side, as are the rest of the family,” said Giorgos Chalkiadakis.
