In the new series of radio documentaries of SKAI 100.3. we will hear about the personalities of ’21. Lord Byron, who personifies the trend of philhellenism, the Heroes of the War of Independence and the politicians who inspired the establishment of the newest state of the Greeks are recounted by Natasa Kastriti, Thanasis Christou, Aristidi Hadzi and Dimitra Koukiou in the narrative of European history.

In the show of Sunday, November 10, Aris Portosalte with guest Professor of Philosophy of Law and Theory of Institutions at EKPA, Aristidis Hatzis, analyze the political scene of the Revolution of 1821, focusing on the roles of Alexandros Mavrokordatos and Ioannis Kolettis. Mavrokordatos, with diplomatic acumen, and Kolettis, with dynamism and boldness, tried to secure the support of the Great Powers – Britain, France and Russia – in Greece’s struggle for independence.

Through their political alliances, rivalries and strategic moves, the two leaders left an indelible mark on the formation of the Greek state, while at the same time they faced the internal conflicts that determined the future of the country.
