Crowds of people are visiting this year’s Christmas in Field of Marsthe Christmas Village of the Attica Region, where events, concerts, themed and educational activities take place with free entry for all.

“It is especially moving to see young and old enjoying, enjoying the walk in Christmas Athens, having fun and spending beautiful moments in a truly public space”said the regional governor of Attica, Nikos Hardaliason another walk he made in the Christmas Village, and added: “Christmas Athens is re-introduced. Through a holistic plan that we have drawn up since the beginning of autumn, which also includes the digital tourism campaign that we have been running for two months in the largest European capitals, Athens is highlighting its potential and is now competing deservedly with many European cities that were considered leaders for years Christmas destinations. I am particularly happy about the fact that the Field of Mars has now acquired a new appearance, has been functionally and aesthetically upgraded, offering this Christmas a rich artistic program with free entry for everyone, as well as a multitude of educational activities for our children. Tonight, at 17:00, in the Christmas Village on the Field of Mars, the Rubayata musical group from Thessaloniki, will present the musical theater performance “The Ageless State and the Goblins”, by Haris and Panos Katsimihas, on mini stage I. According to the relevant press release, it is “a journey to the sweetest Christmas memories with imagination, magic but through the educational prism of such a show, of course with free entry”.

Besides, the little visitors will also encounter a series educational – interactive routes of ecological and environmental awareness. At the same time, in the Village there is a state-of-the-art ice rink, a huge carousel, a large dining corner, as well as forty wooden houses, in which the visitor will be able to buy handmade creations, gifts and Christmas ornaments.

Tomorrow, Friday 27/12those who find themselves in the Christmas village will enjoy at 18:00 the Dimitris Bassi and at 19:00 Glykeria, while on Saturday 28/12 at 18:00, Stavento and Ivi Adamou. On Sunday, 29/12 at 12:00 on the main stage, Yiannis Zouganelis, Rena Morphis, Kostas Thomaidis, Niki Grana and Yiannis Dionysiou and “perform favorite songs of M. Loizou, G. Hatzipieri, N. Minister of State. L. Plato, M. Theodoraki, M. Toka, G. Spanou et al. for the magical beauty of the child’s soul”.

Also, the Sunday at 14:00 and Monday 30/12 at 16:00, Sfera 102.2, Ellinikos 93.2, Music 89.2 and “Kunavia” Fanis Lambropoulos with Dimitris Boumboulinis and Eleni Voulgaraki will offer endless moments of fun, music and Christmas spirit in a live program for young and old .

A tribute to Dimitris Mitropanos will be presented on Monday, December 30 at 18:00 with Peggy Zina, Babis Stokas and Costas Triantafyllidis.

The themed tributes conclude on Saturday, January 4 at 18:00 with Eleni Tsaligopoulou, Melina Kana and Fotini Velesiotou, “to approach interpretatively and render each one in her own way, songs of three of the most important performers of our popular tradition: Sotiria Bellou, Polis Panos and Vikis Moscholiou”.

The District Christmas Village will remain open until January 7, weekdays from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
