Ceará Public Prosecutor’s Office appeals to increase the prison of DJ IVIS

The Public Prosecution Service of the State of Ceará filed an appeal to reform the sentence of Iverson de Souza Araújo, known as DJ IVIS, sentenced by the court to 8 months and 8 days in prison for assaulting his wife, Pamella Holanda, in 2021. Wanted, the musician did not comment.

According to the agency, the appeal was placed due to the circumstances of the crime. The sentence was applied by the Eusébio Single Criminal Court last Thursday (6).

For the 2nd Prosecutor’s Office of the Municipality, the penalty must be more severe and not even the possible reconciliation of the couple could prevent accountability for the act by IVIS.

In 2021, Ivis even had a pre -trial detention decreed, but was released on October 22 of that same year.

Remember the case

At the time, Pamella Holanda gave an interview to Fantástico where he talked about the aggressions he suffered from the then ex-husband. During the program, the architect talked about the factors that encouraged her to denounce the musician for the aggressions.

“I couldn’t take it anymore that my daughter heard my cry, to see me. I don’t want her to record the image of me crying,” Pamela said.

“I advise, encourage and ask them not to be afraid. We can’t imprison themselves to anything that’s bad,” he said, encouraging people to report situations of domestic violence such as the one that has passed.

Pamela had already spoken on social networks by posting videos of his crimes that viralized at the time.

Ivis was arrested at home three days after the release of the images, after the court ordered his pre -trial detention. The musician preferred to be silent when he arrived at the police station, where he remained in a cell with other prisoners accused of domestic violence.
