Lady Gaga embarks on Galeão and leaves Rio de Janeiro

After performing a historic show in Rio de Janeiro, with public record, Lady Gaga left the wonderful city early Sunday afternoon (4). She boarded a flight at Galeão International Airport around 12:30 pm. Copacabana Palace’s displacement, where the singer was staying, to the airport was escorted by the Military Police motorcycle battalion.

Also in the early afternoon, the artist published a text of thanks to fans on her Instagram profile. She said nothing could have prepared her for what she felt during the show.

“The absolute pride and joy I felt when singing to the people of Brazil. The vision of the crowd during my opening songs took my breath. Your heart shines so much, your culture is so vibrant and special, I hope you know how much I am shared this historical moment with you,” he wrote.

According to data released by the city of Rio, 2.1 million people watched the singer’s show at Copacabana beach, this Saturday (3). In its publication, Gaga quotes 2.5 million and states that this was the largest audience achieved by a female artist in history. Madonna’s show, held a year ago in Rio, attracted 1.6 million fans.

Lady Gaga’s largest audience had been registered at Stade de France in Paris, France, how much she performed for 80,000 people in 2022. The last time Lady Gaga performed in Brazil was in 2012. In 2017, she canceled her participation in Rock in Rio for health reasons.
