The Ithaca Theater Festival returns for the 4th consecutive year and will take place from September 29 to October 5, 2025.

The organizers are openly calling for artists, theater groups, professionals and amateurs, playwrights and theater trainers.

With a central theme “The hero and the anterior: a journey through time and to man”, the Festival invites participants to explore the symbols of the hero and the anthera through the arts, enabling them to express themselves creatively and present their work in the heart of the Ionian Sea. The festival combines performances, short -term competition and educational activities, inviting artists and audiences to actively participate, turning Ithaca into a live theatrical workshop.

What does the festival include? AVLAIA (contest) 8 theatrical groups of the two people create new short -term performances inspired by the Odyssey and the theme “hero/hero”.

At the end of the Competition Department, the following awards will be awarded: Best Performance – 1,000 € • Men’s & Women’s Interpretation Scene (performances) 7 selected troupes will present long -term performances that combine contemporary aesthetics with classical or new works.
BACKINESS (seminars) artists, directors and theorists of theater will be guided by workshops and seminars, open to all ages and levels of experience.
