Jamie Oliver and his wife Jules shared the secret to their successful marriage, marking 25 years together in the special Christmas UK edition of Good Housekeeping magazine.

The famous chef, referring to the secret, invoked the well-known saying “opposites attract”. “I won’t be the first to say that opposites attract. We get along really well and honestly like each other, but we’re also very different.”he said characteristically.

“This can create some tension, but it seems to be working. I feel very blessed to have been together for 25 years”he added.

THE famous chef and his wife met at the age of 17 and have been together ever since, having three daughters and two sons. According to the “Daily Mail”, in 2023 they renewed their wedding vows in the Maldives, in the presence of their children.

As for Christmas Day, naturally, Jamie is in charge of the kitchen while Jules cleans up to the sound of Christmas carols.

“I’d play ‘Fairytale Of New York’ by the Pogues in the summer too”he said, emphasizing that the day is “sacred” as it is also one of the rare opportunities to find all five children in the family together, given that the older ones have now left home.

“Some years we make marshmallows around the fire or pork pies and plates of various delicacies on Christmas Eve with our family and friends. But it is very nice to keep Christmas Day just for ourselves. Jamie works so hard and it’s great to celebrate in a small circle and relaxed atmosphere.”Jules pointed out.
