Anitta bloqueou o presidente Jair Bolsonaro (PL) do Twitter. She didn’t like the president’s mockery after she posted images wearing a green and yellow look at the Coachella show and he replied: “I agree with Anitta”.
In the previous post, the Brazilian singer said that the colors of the Brazilian flag belonged to all Brazilians, a fact used by Bolsonaro’s account to boast. Since the politician was elected, his followers have used green and yellow as the official colors of the mandate and support for the president.
Anitta, who has already made it clear that she is not his voter, showed her displeasure. “Oh boy, go find what to do, go,” she began. “I immediately put a block on these admins (administrators) of his not to be using my social networks to gain buzz (repercussion) on the internet”, he amended.
Anitta has already spoken out publicly against the president on numerous occasions, even chatting with him and his supporters on social media. Therefore, some fans expected that, as some artists did at Lollapalooza Brasil, she would speak out against him on the Coachella stage, where she performed on Friday (15).
This Saturday (16), the singer explained why she chose to ignore the politician, who is a candidate for reelection. She responded to a follower’s suggestion to put a montage of the president as Adolf Hitler on the big screen of the show she will repeat next week.
“It’s just that their strategy has now changed”, replied Anitta. “They’re with a younger and hipper social media team to just pass on this image of him, make the public forget the shit with jokes and internet memes that make the young man think he’s a cool guy, good guy.”
“So, at this point, any demonstrations against him through the artists will be turned into mockery by his social media,” he continued. “So the artist becomes the boring mimizento and he becomes the nice guy who takes everything in stride.”
According to the singer, this would make him gain sympathy on the networks. “People end up forgetting what really matters, which is how the country is going, to vote for the fan ID you have for the person,” she said. “That feeling of: I wanted to be his friend… so you’d vote for your friend good people. And there goes the strategy.”
“It’s already good media when you mention his name, it makes no difference whether you mentioned it negatively or positively”, he said. “Because the more you cite in a negative way, the more media he reaches and uses that media to target what he wants. I’ve used this strategy a few times so I know what’s going on (laughs).”
Anitta revealed how she noticed the supposed new strategy. “I started to notice when they started using the songs of artists who hate him in the background of their stories about the government,” she said. “Now the strategy of the opposite side needs to be to mention his name as little as possible. I would change the slogan ‘Fora Fulaninho’ to ‘Muda Brasil’ or something that completely detaches the narrative from his name.”
She says it’s best not to mention the president’s name. “That, at the moment, is just going to give more media and consequently more strength,” she said. “You won’t see me saying ‘Out So-and-So’ until the elections are over. And I suggest anyone who is against him do the same.”
For her, fans already know that she is against the current government. “Do not need more [repetir]”, he said. “Everyone already knows who is against and who is in favor. If I stop saying ‘Fora so-and-so’ and say ‘Muda Brasil’, you still understand my message, but I didn’t have to give the person media. I even use it on my personal energetically.”
“When there’s someone I don’t like or don’t want in my life, I don’t say their name (laughs)”, he revealed. “If I have to talk about the person for some extra extra essential reason I call him Voldemort (the one who doesn’t have to pronounce his name).
