The singer Madonna, 63, used Instagram Stories this Thursday (18), to lament that a mansion that was hers today belongs to a German shepherd named Gunther VI, and is being sold for triple the price.
“When you find out that a dog is selling your old house for three times what you sold,” wrote the artist in the caption of the photos. Next, she posted news footage about the mansion.
The German shepherd was owned by Countess Karlotta Liebenstein, and he inherited a fortune worth millions of dollars when she died in 1992. Gunther’s guardians bought Madonna’s mansion 20 years ago for $7.5 million, about R$41 million in the current quote.
Currently, it is being sold for US$ 31.5 million, which is equivalent to R$ 174 million. Another curiosity shown by the singer is that the dog sleeps in the main suite of the mansion, the same room where Madonna slept while living in the house.
Recently, the artist bought a property that belonged to The Weeknd for $19.3 million (more than R$110 million), according to People magazine. The property, measuring around 1,165 square meters, had been acquired by the R&B singer in 2017 for US$ 18.2 million (just over R$ 104 million).
The house had been on sale since the middle of last year for US$25 million (R$142 million), but the price went down until it found the current buyer. Located in Hidden Hills, property sits on three acres of land. The main house has seven bedrooms (two of which are master suites), as well as a living and dining room, a large kitchen and a bar.
The entrance hall has double height and a two-story window, through which natural light penetrates into the property. The walls have wood and stone details. The property also has a wine room, a fitness studio and a theater. In the backyard, there is a swimming pool, spa and a cabana with a living room.
Surrounded by redwood trees, the property also has a barn, a five-car garage with LED floors, and a full basketball court. There is also a guest house with two other bedrooms.
