Actress Samantha Schmütz, 43, took to social media on Wednesday morning to apologize after questioning whether Juliette, 32, was really an artist. Schmütz made videos for Instagram Stories, in which she appears crying.
She, who is at the Cannes Film Festival, said her comment was “unfortunate”. “Guys, I’m passing by, and I wish I had come sooner… But I needed to reflect, I needed to digest, I needed to cry, I needed to understand that my comment was really unhappy. It was loaded with hate, hurt, lack of empathy .”
“Juliette is a person who only does good for Brazil, actually. She has very little time as an artist, yes, because she’s singing, she’s doing a show that’s filling up, she has her fans… And I made this comment totally unnecessary, inappropriate. I’m super sad,” she continued.
Schmütz claimed that he learned from the situation, and that he ended up taking his frustrations out on Juliette. The actress said that she lives a confusion between the performance of actors and digital influencers in the art industry. “There’s a lot of confusion in our industry today,” she pointed out.
“It’s all mixed up: celebrity, famous… And then you become an actor, you become an actress, you become an artist! I threw this frustration of mine on Juliette. It’s very difficult to be an independent artist if you don’t have the machine helping you and strengthening you. are massacred,” he continued.
The actress said that at the time she reflected and deleted the comment, which would have been on the air for only 40 seconds. She went on to say that she would really like to apologize to the BBB 21 champion, her fans and whoever else she may have hurt.
“But you can be sure that the person most hurt and wounded and most affected in this story is me. And this happens at a time when it has nothing to do with me feeling that, because I’m in Cannes precisely to study and to bring more quality. for my work and for my audience”, he concluded.
Juliette stated, in “Altas Horas”, Saturday (14), that as an artist she feels the obligation to participate in everything that reflects on society. She was sitting next to Juliana Paes, an actress who was criticized by Schmütz last year after declaring herself neutral. “I think it’s great that she takes a stand… But is she an artist?” Schmütz wrote of Juliette’s statement.
