Pleuris: In the ASEP the announcement for the 4000 nursing positions

THE proclamation of 4,000 nursing positions already located at ASEP and within the next few days it will be posted and it concerns the entire coverage of the positions requested by Chania Hospital.

This was stated by the Minister of Health Thanos Pleuris who visited the Chania hospital today as part of his visits to the hospitals of Crete.

The Minister of Health, accompanied by the General Secretary of Health Services, Yiannis Kotsiopoulos, and the administrator of the 7th Ministry of Health, Lena Borboudaki, visited the hospital where he discussed with the management and staff about the problems of the hospital.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-Regional Governor of Chania, Nikos Kalogeris, ND MPs Manousos Voloudakis and Vassilis Digalakis and Marianna Botonaki, representative of Chania MP, Doras Bakoyannis.

The Minister of Health Thanos Plevris stated:

“At the moment, the announcement of the 4,000 nursing positions is already in the ASEP and within the next few days it will be posted and covers the entire coverage of the positions that the Chania hospital has requested. Accordingly, a notice of 700 doctors will be issued. There is a problem with the targeted specialties because these specialties have already been created in this particular hospital but they have been characterized as barren, so with incentives that the Deputy Minister is working on we want to exhaust the possibilities to fill the positions where there are gaps. At the same time, the Chania hospital is starting an energy upgrade, it has joined the Recovery Fund and the medical facilities will have a complete upgrade. Our target is the 350 million euros we have from the Recovery Fund and with the announcements of 6,000 positions we have for doctors, nurses and other staff that will be completed in the summer to be able to upgrade buildings and staff the hospitals“.
