The two pharmacies, which are based in Northern Greece, refused to submit to an inspection ordered by the Minister of Health Thanos Pleuris
The National Medicines Organization decided today, Wednesday, December 28, to suspend the license for the wholesale sale of medicines in two pharmacies.
The two pharmacies, which are based in Northern Greece, refused to submit to an inspection ordered by the Minister of Health, Thanos Pleuris. The suspension is valid for a period of time until it is inspected by the EOF.
As long as the suspension lasts, pharmacies are not authorized to stock and distribute pharmaceutical products.
It is recalled that the Minister of Health, Thanos Pleuris, had asked the EOF to call on all pharmacies to declare the stocks of elliptical medicines they have, while prohibiting their export. At the same time, he called on them to immediately make the drugs available on the Greek market, and warned of criminal penalties if they do not do so or declare false quantities, while there will be procedures for the immediate revocation of their operating license.
