The MITERA Artificial Kidney Unit, operating since 2015, is a modern Unit with a capacity of 15 artificial kidney machines where in full development it can serve up to 90 patients, performing all types of hemodialysis.
The Unit has the most modern equipment, and is staffed by specialized and experienced medical and nursing staff, which, in combination with the observance of International Protocols, ensures high-level provision of health services to patients.

The Unit has:
- 14 FRESENIUS 5008S artificial kidney machines (this is the latest model of the world’s leading artificial kidney company, which ensures an online dialysis option, absolute safety and 100% effective treatment with the ability to measure the Kt/V efficiency index)
- hemodialysis materials (filters, solutions, needles, etc.) which meet the highest quality and safety standards
- cardiac monitors, cardiograph, blood gas measuring machine, suctions, oximeters, oxygen and pressure meters as well as a stationary wheelchair fully equipped with a defibrillator.
- Yellow Unit for the treatment of patients with HBV.
- Deionized water network with continuous flow system.

The main advantage of the Artificial Kidney Unit is that it operates within a large and organized Clinic, with coverage by doctors of all specialties and immediate ability to be called in case of emergencies.
In addition, the internationally recognized system is implemented CODE BLUEaccording to which, a specialized medical-nursing team consisting of a cardiologist, anesthesiologist and ICU nurse takes action in case of a cardiorespiratory problem.
