Agfa, once known for its photography and VHS businesses, has again highlighted the potential of its Zirfon membrane technology for the production of green hydrogen, a business whose first-quarter sales have already exceeded that achieved in 2022.
In total, its quarterly turnover increased by 7.2% to 270 million euros for an adjusted Ebitda which almost doubled, to 13 million euros.
In its press release, the group reiterated its objective of a recovery in its profitability during the 2023 financial year compared to 2022, a forecast which was welcomed without the Brussels Stock Exchange, where the title dropped 3.4% to midday.
