No statistical publication is in fact on the program in Europe. Consequently, the attention of the few investors present should logically turn to the United States, where the quarterly results of the world’s number one retailer Walmart are notably expected.
On the statistics front, various publications are also planned across the Atlantic, such as the Philly Fed activity index and the Conference Board’s leading indicators.
In European company news, Nokia announces that it has successfully completed, as a strategic partner, a program to consolidate the network of Indonesian telecom operator Indosat, guaranteeing a superior experience for its growing subscriber base.
Burberry publishes for its 2022-23 financial year adjusted EPS up 16% at constant exchange rates, to 122.5 pence, as well as adjusted operating profit up 8% to 634 million pounds sterling, i.e. an improved margin of 0.6 points to 20.5%.
easyJet reports a pre-tax loss of £415m for its first half accounting, down from £557m a year earlier but in line with expectations.
Finally, BMW AG Board Member Milan Nedeljković announced today that NEUE KLASSE vehicles will be produced in Shenyang, China, by BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. (BBA) from 2026.
