PARIS (Reuters) – The New York Stock Exchange opened on Friday after data on PCE inflation for August online with expectations.
In the first exchanges, the Dow Jones index earns 190.05 points, or 0.41% to 46,137.37 points and the Standard & Poor’s 500, wider, increased from 0.18% to 6,617.62 points.
The Nasdaq Composite takes 0.06% or 13.24 points, at 22,397.94 points.
The markets were rather reassured Friday after the publication of data on the PCE for consumer prices in the United States.
According to data from the Commerce Department, consumer prices have certainly accelerated by 2.7% over one year in August, but this increase is online with the expectations of economists and analysts.
This publication is strengthening the expectations of drops in the American Federal Reserve (Fed) during the year while the revision of US growth in the second quarter and weekly unemployed registrations had tempered these forecasts earlier during the week.
Donald Trump also unveiled new customs duties on the pharmaceutical sector on Thursday, heavy goods vehicles and certain furniture manufacturers.
