The hunt wild boar for a group of 4, on Saturday afternoon at western Fthiotidaalmost turned into a tragedy.
The group of hunters from Karpenisi went to hunt silver boar in the area between Neochoraki and Mavrilo.
Shortly after 5:00 in the afternoon, the hunters spotted and injured a wild boar which, in its attempt to escape, attacked the 28 year old hunter that was in his way, injuring him in the legs.
According to information, one of the young man’s legs was bleeding badly and fortunately the other hunters, including his father, managed to stop the bleeding when they took him to the road and called an ambulance.
His rescuers ECAV who arrived at the scene offered him first aid and then took the injured young man to the Karpenisi Hospital.
The preliminary investigation into the injury of the 28-year-old hunter has been undertaken by the AT Sperchiadas.
