The operation of the NHS is not affected by the new bill, the Minister of Health emphasized, the public nature of the NHS is not affected at all.

Mr. Pleuris also said that the institution of the personal doctor is progressing. “The main advantage is that it is not addressed to patients but to every citizen” he said and continued: “We give money to prevention, we give incentives for the attendance of doctors.” He also clarified that in an emergency the personal doctor is not needed.
