From November… Christmas at Taxiarchis Thessaloniki: The first tree that was lit – Video

In a warm atmosphere and in the presence of many people, the lighting of the first Christmas tree in Greece took place, marking the beginning of the festive season of Christmas.

The village of fir producers, which will soon “flood” all of Greece with fir trees, could not fail to give the… signal for the start of the festive season.

The lighting of the tree in Brigadier General of Halkidiki was combined with the eve of the feast of the Patron and Protector of the village of Agios Archangelos, while the event took place immediately after the solemn Vespers.

Crowds of residents and visitors, of all ages, watched the lighting of the lights at the height of 16 meters fir tree, which adorns the village square. Afterwards, they had the opportunity to taste local sweets, hot donuts, individual king pies with flour (and with a surprise), mulled wine and other delicacies.
