10 years of Navarino Challenge supporting 10 non-profit organizations
Europe’s leading sports tourism and wellness festival, the Navarino Challenge, held on October 21-23 in Costa Navarino, organizes the action “Sharing is Caring”, which aims to support 10 non-profit organizations in Greece on the occasion of the celebration of 10 years of the event.
“Sharing is Caring” is the largest sports Silent Auction ever held in Greece, with more than 50 types of sports memorabilia of top Greek and foreign athletes, world stars, hall of famers, Olympians and teams, as well as items such as screens, white appliances, etc. All items are available for sale through the official Navarino Challenge page and will be auctioned, through Silent Auctions, between November 22 to December 4, 2022.

Make your own over 50 unique items for a good cause
In the online auctions of “Sharing is Caring” you will find items with the signatures of world sports stars.

The anniversary, 10th year of the Navarino Challenge concludes with the “Sharing is Caring” action that aims to bring joy to sports fans in Greece and around the world. Through the auctions, the largest variety of sports items are offered, with the signatures of great athletes, as well as devices that are expected to help the work of non-profit organizations in need of support.

This year, the auction money will be given directly and equally to the following 10 non-profit organizations:
• the Urban Non-Profit Company “Diogenes NGO” with the only Greek street magazine “schedia” which supports the efforts of homeless and socially excluded people to join or rejoin the social fabric
• the social kitchen The Other Man, a movement of solidarity and love for fellow human beings,
• the Municipal Non-Profit Organization Mikros Princepis that supports children and teenagers with chronic serious illnesses that require hospitalization abroad
• the non-profit organization Guardian Angel whose purpose is to provide social and humanitarian work to vulnerable groups and especially to abused and neglected children
• the urban non-profit company, with great action in the care and protection of stray animals A Little Shelter,
• the Urban Non-Profit Company HOPEgenesis which deals with the issue of subfertility in Greece with its mission to provide comprehensive medical care and care to women from the moment they become pregnant until the day they give birth
• the disabled sports club DIFFAROZO in Kalamata, with active athletes who belong to the Paralympic movement and the National Disabled Sports Federation,
• the non-profit organization Dogs’ Voice which aims to be the digital platform for effective promotion of stray dogs in responsible adoptions
• the urban non-profit company Karkinaki that claims intervention in the effort to stop childhood and adolescent cancer from being a taboo subject, but also to find as many allies as possible so that every child who is sick has access to high-level care, effective treatment and , after all, right to life,
• and the environmental non-profit organization π³= Plastic Pollution Prevention which focuses on plastic pollution and how we can prevent and eliminate it through preventive and sustainable actions
Silent Auction Process
By entering the specially designed website of Silent Auctions, participants have the possibility, in the first stage, to give their own suggested amount for the object they wish to acquire via e-mail without payment being required. Each user who takes part in the process remains anonymous, as does the amount they propose. On Sunday, December 4, with the end of the auctions, all e-mails of the participants will be opened and checked. The highest bidders will be the winners of the respective items.
The announcement of the winners will be made on the organization’s social media as well as with personal information to the winners about the method of payment. Payments will be made directly to the institutions and there will be no intermediary transaction. The winner will have a window of time to deposit the money. Upon confirmation of the deposit by the respective institution, the organization will inform the winner of how to receive the item. In the event that the first winner does not pay the amount within the specified period of time, then the place will be taken by the participant with the next highest offer. The total amount raised from the auctions will be given equally to the 10 non-profit organizations.
In Sharing is Caring we can all give and help the 10 non-profit organizations, as items are included starting at a suggested price of 50 euros.
