He took the road to prison the 35-year-old Greek-German who pretended to be a police officer circulating with fake documents of his supposed professional status. He was arrested last Thursday in Sykies, Thessaloniki, in execution of a warrant issued by the prosecuting authorities of Germany, where he is wanted for online fraud and child pornography material was found in his possession.
In his testimony before the Investigator, he allegedly confessed that he has nothing to do with the Police Corpshe partially accepted the acts of forgery, while declaring ignorance of how the pornographic material with minors was found on his mobile phone, thereby denying the specific act.
His claims did not convince the prosecutor and investigator who unanimously decided on his temporary detention. According to the case file, the 35-year-old, at least since 2019, was in Hellas and circulated with I.X. car with German license plates. Sometimes he pretended to be the German policeman who serves in a special unit in Greece with the supposed object of identifying pedophiles and sometimes the Greek policeman.
In subsequent searches of the vehicle and his home – as announced by EL.AS. – in addition to the child pornography material, two state license plates of German authorities were found, at least one of which was fake, various referrals and medical tests from a hospital, forged payslips from the German authorities, documents with another person’s identity details, as well as a full uniform of a Greek police officer.
