Accident in Bucharest: In Greece, the first passengers on the bus

The first passengers of the tourist bus involved in the traffic accident in Bucharest arrived at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport.

According to APE-MBE information from the Information Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the passengers, among whom are Thessaloniki residents, are expected to be transferred to their cities from the airport by buses.

According to diplomatic sources, nine passengers who are in good health have already returned by air to Greece on a Bucharest-Athens flight at 10:45, while another nine will return in the afternoon.

According to the information, so far 16 people remain in hospitals, while the remaining 12 are in Bucharest hotels.

Except for three cases, the rest of the injured are not seriously injured, while some remain in Bucharest because they have their own people hospitalized.

As it became known, a 53-year-old man from Larissa is dead. According to Ms. Grammata, 16 people are currently in hospitals, while the rest are in hotels.

Those who are in good health will depart by air, he said.

Regarding the injured, he said that except for three cases, the doctors assessed that the rest did not have serious injuries.

As Ms. Grammata said, some will be discharged even today, for some others 2-3 days of hospitalization will be needed.

For the three cases the doctors said they needed attention.

The Greek ambassador also said that the wife of the victim is not in the serious incidents.

He added that there were no elderly people on the coach, there were some young people and the rest were between 40 and 60 years old.

Investigations into the causes of the tragedy
