Aviation directive for travelers from China – Entry to Greece only with a negative test

With a negative test, entry into Greece regardless of nationality for all travelers with direct flights from China – Mandatory use of a high respiratory protection mask during the flight and during the stay at the airport

THE Civil Aviation Service (CAA) announced to the passenger public the aviation directive with the entry conditions for travelers from China to Greece, in order to limit the spread of the COVID-19 disease.

The applicable notam from January 15, 2023 and will be valid until Tuesday, January 31, 2023 and time 06:00 in the morning provides for the following:

Entry into Greece with a negative test regardless of nationality for all travelers on direct flights from China.

In particular, the entry of travelers of any nationality coming from China on direct flights is allowed if they have been diagnosed negative in a PCR test within forty-eight (48) hours or alternatively they have been diagnosed negative in a rapid test within twenty-four (24) hours before their boarding for Greece.

All travelers from China are required to use a high respiratory protection mask (FFP2 or N95 or KN95) both during the flight and during their stay at the airport.

The measures for entry into Greece concerning travelers from China apply to minors (children) from five (5) years of age and older.

The airlines are obliged to check the traveler before boarding, in order to confirm that he carries the necessary documents and in case of violation they have the obligation to repatriate the passenger at their own expense and responsibility.

The above necessary entry documents (negative test results) are shown by the travelers upon their arrival in Greece and to the personnel of the Hellenic Police, if requested, for a check of validity and completeness.
