Financial differences were the reason the old man violently attacked his son’s wife
An incredible incident took place yesterday morning in the center of Voloson Dimitriados Street, in front of the eyes of surprised passers-by.
An 84-year-old man attacked his bride, beat her and grabbed her by the hair.
The reason was the economic differences and in particular, the utilization of a store in a building in the center of the city. The building together with the shops belonged to the 84-year-old and he wrote all the assets to his children. As soon as he was about to retire, he had promised that the one store in which he housed his business would be taken over by his daughter-in-law, which never happened. Even though he retired, he remained in the store, which is rarely opened, while his son and his wife decided to take advantage of it. His son authorized his wife for all the necessary movements and yesterday the 53-year-old woman waited at 8.30 in the morning for her father-in-law outside the door of the store, where she asked him for the keys.
The super-aged man got irritated and scenes of infinite beauty followed. One conversation led to another and a big fight broke out, with onlookers and customers of the bank next door.
The 84-year-old was arrested after being sued by his daughter-in-law, who accused him of grabbing her by the hair and ripping off her jacket while beating her. The elderly man was taken yesterday at noon to spontaneous and his lawyer asked for a deadline until Friday to study the case file, while the prosecution witness did not appear in court.
The 84-year-old does not live with his children, but alone and as he told the judges he takes care of himself.
