Detailed list of the areas following the decisions of the Attica Region – Closed and the People’s Markets in the municipalities where schools are closed

By decision of the Regional Governor and after the recommendation of the mayors, the Primary and Secondary Education schools and nurseries in the specific areas that have been most affected by the bad weather are closed. It will be open in all other regions.

Public Markets are also closed in municipalities where schools are closed

The Regional Governor of Attica G. Patoulis, after consultation with the 66 municipalities of Attica, the forecasts of the EMY, the requests of the mayors and with the participation of the village Deputy Regional Governors, the Deputy Regional Governor of Civil Protection V. Kokkalis and Education X. Alexandratou made the decision the schools in areas expected to be affected by the new wave of bad weather to remain closed Primary and Secondary Education schools and nurseries in the areas. In all other municipalities they will operate normally.
Specifically, the schools will not operate after the recommendation of the Mayors:

In EASTERN ATTICA, except for the municipalities of Lavreotiki and Voula-Varis- Vouliagmeni where they will operate normally. However, at the request of the municipalities in Peania, Koropi and Saronikos, the Nursery centers will operate.

In WEST ATTICA they will be closed except for the Municipality of Megareo where they will operate normally.

In the NORTHERN SECTOR OF ATHENS they will remain closed in all municipalities (Specifically in the Municipalities of Agia Paraskevi, Papagos Cholargos, Penteli, Filothei-Psyhiko, Metamorfosi, Kifissia, Nea Ionia, Chalandrio, Amarousi, Vrilissio, Pefki-Lykovrisi, Heraklion).

Schools in the municipalities of Zografou, Byron, Kaisariani, Ilioupoli will not operate in the CENTRAL ATHENS DIVISION. In all other municipalities they operate normally.
The schools of the Municipality of Perama will not operate in the PIRAEUS ANTI-REGION. Everything operates from the municipality of Keratsini except for the following which will remain closed:
1) Primary 3rd/6th/12th/23rd.-
2) High schools 1st/2nd/4th as well as the Special.
3) 1st/2nd/3rd high school and EPAL.
In the municipality of Korydallos, everything will be open except for the following:
1. Primary 9th/ 10th/ 5th / 12th
2. Kindergarten 3rd/7th/8th/18th/19th/21st
3. High school 4th / 5th
In the WEST SECTOR everything will work normally except

A) In the municipality of Chaidari, everything will operate except for the following which will remain closed:

1. All in the Forest area
2. Everything in the area of ​​Dafni
3. 1 High School
4. 1st High School
B) In the municipality of Petroupoli, all will operate except for the following schools which will remain closed:
1. Kindergarten 1O /2O / 6O / 7O /12O /15O /16O/ 17O /17O APPENDIX
2. Elementary 1st / 4th / 7th / 8th / 9th
3. High School 4th / 6th
4. General Lyceum 3O

In the SOUTHERN SECTOR and the ISLANDS everything will work normally.

In all the above areas where schools will not operate, it was agreed that the public markets will also remain closed.

The Regional Governor G. Patoulis warmly thanked the mayors, the Deputy Regional Governors and all the officials of the Region and the Municipalities and pointed out that in case of differences in the operation of the nurseries, the municipalities responsible for their operation should make relevant announcements.
The Regional Governor of Attica G. Patoulis points out:

“Our decision to suspend the operation of certain schools in Attica for tomorrow, Tuesday, February 7, is based on considerations of the image of the development of the wave of bad weather and the requests of the mayors. In this context, evaluating the forecasts of the meteorologists who point out that despite the gradual recession of the phenomenon, in the next hours there will be snowfall and frost, for preventive reasons we decide to close some schools and nurseries. Our absolute priority remains the safety of the students, their parents and the educational staff.”
The Region of Attica is monitoring the development of the phenomena and after evaluating the situation with a new announcement will announce whether the closure of schools in certain areas will be extended on Wednesday, February 8.
