N. Germanou presented D. Koutsoubas with a book about how the song “Imagine” by Lennon was written, a poetry collection by P. Elyar and a mug “but he… You are!”
No, it’s not an April fool’s trick. The Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece, Dimitris Koutsoubaswas a guest on her show Natalia Germanou“It doesn’t get any better!”, and users on social media idolize him.
Dimitris Koutsoubas emphasized that a total change of route is needed. The longer we go on the rails of this development and system that is for the few, the worse things will get.
Asked if the KKE will cooperate with another party, D. Koutsoubas said that if he said that he would cooperate with ND or SYRIZA it would be an April Fool’s joke and no one would believe it.
Mr. Koutsoubas developed the positions of the KKE on a series of issues concerning interpersonal relationships, the cohabitation agreement, but also fostering and adoption, for the need for state support and protection of the child.
He also revealed that he likes to use everyday phrases, without considering whether they will go viral or not. He emphasized that people’s interpersonal relationships, symbiosis, cannot be based on coercive terms and measures with economic criteria or other social criteria of past times.
“You are the ones” that he had said earlier in the Parliament is considered – without a doubt – the most popular remark of the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the KKE. “I meant it for all their politics. It is an expression that I also use in my daily life and then what happened happened. They took it and it became very well-known, viral,” said Mr. Koutsoubas, who did not hesitate to comment on his other proverbial sayings such as about “Livadia and “plantations”.
Mr. Koutsoubas was moved by seeing an old photo of his entire family, mentioning with nostalgia that several of this frame are no longer alive.
The most recent viral moment of Dimitris Koutsoubas, however, was the French he spoke during his participation in the large strike rally in Paris. The General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE was deified for his accent and, in fact, revealed to the presenter how he learned to speak the language so well. “In this photo you showed me is also the French teacher who taught us at school. He was a great man. I learned French there. I learned them at school. I didn’t go to tutoring school. But I kept using them, texting and talking. It wasn’t the first time I went to France. I had been there two years ago.”
The show also revealed a story starring Mr. Koutsouba’s daughter, who once distributed KKE leaflets. As she said, “she was a student and she was handing out leaflets and a lady told her that Koutsoubas is making fun of you. You distribute leaflets and he has his daughter studying in America”, said the lady in question, with Dimitris Koutsouba even adding that his daughter did not reveal the truth: “He did not tell her that she is my daughter”.
At the end of the interview, N. Germanou gave D. Koutsoubas a book about how Lennon’s song “Imagine” was written, a poetry collection by P. Elyar and a “but he… You are!” mug.
For his part, Mr. Koutsoubas gave Natalia Germanou from the KKE Archive, Electra Apostolou’s letters to her husband, from when she was in exile, with whom she clashed over her beliefs, a new edition of a book about Thanos Mikroutsikos and the collector’s edition, the book – cd “Thanos Mikroutsikos. Cantata on Makronissos – Study in poems by Vladimir Mayakovsky”.
