The offices of the Central Administration of the Philanthropic Organization “APOSTOLI” of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens were visited by the General Secretary of Social Solidarity and Combating Poverty, Mr. Giorgos Stamatis, where he had a meeting with the General Director, Mr. Konstantinos Dimtsa and executives of the organization.

During the discussion, Mr. Stamatis was thoroughly informed about the programs and actions implemented by “Apostoli”, with the aim of supporting and improving the living conditions of tested populations in a wide range of sectors, such as social protection, home care, aged care training, supporting vulnerable families and supporting the homeless and people living in poverty.

In the context of the meeting, Mr. Stamatis congratulated Mr. Dimtsa for the broad and varied action of the “Mission”, stressing that the General Secretariat will continue to support its work, mentioning among others the following:

“APOSTOLIS” is an essential support for the relief of our fellow human beings who are in need, manifesting in practice the values ​​of solidarity and offering without discrimination. The Church under the guidance of the Blessed Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Mr. Ieronymos carries out a multi-level social and humanitarian work and such initiatives are a model of solidarity and humanitarianism for all of us”.

Mr. Dimtsas underlined that: “APOSTOLI” continues its social work and in close cooperation with the General Secretariat will design support measures for people who are on the verge of poverty and vulnerable social groups. We have decided on a fruitful partnership with you, with the aim of creating new social awareness initiatives for Roma and Homeless people and the development of the already existing activities, thus expanding the scope of our charitable action.
