The identity information, photographs and the criminal prosecution brought against eight members of a criminal organization that committed thefts from electronics and mobile phone shops in various areas of Attica and Evia are being made public, following a relevant Order of the Athens First Instance Prosecutor’s Office.

The organization was dismantled on 02-24-2023 by police officers of the Property Crimes Department of the Attica Security Directorate.

Criminal proceedings were brought against them for directing a criminal organization, forming and joining a criminal organization, a distinguished case of theft, committed by two or more, who were organized for the purpose of committing theft, consecutively, committed and attempted.

The specific disclosure, in accordance with the relevant Prosecutor’s Order, aims to investigate, detect or prosecute crimes of a similar nature, which have been committed by the defendants at the expense of other victims and to prevent a threat to public safety in relation to the above crimes, with the aim the protection of society from such criminal acts.

In this context, citizens are requested to contact the telephone numbers 210-6476229, 210-6476232 of the Crimes Against Life and Personal Freedom Department and 210-6411111 of the Attica Security Directorate, to provide any relevant information.

It is noted that the anonymity and confidentiality of the communication is guaranteed. It is pointed out that this publication is for a period of two months, i.e. until 6:00 p.m. on 6-6-2023, according to the Prosecutor’s Order. Beyond this time limit, the retention and/or reproduction of the disclosure of the above data is not permitted and is against the law.
