The total number and distribution of vacant organizational positions for the upcoming new call for permanent appointments in Primary and Secondary General Education has been announced.
“Following on from around 24,700 permanent appointments, the first to be made after 12 years in education, we continue to invest in people us with 3,770 further permanent appointments“, said the Minister of Education, Niki Kerameos.
He added that the goal is “the optimal staffing of our schools, the most stable ties between teachers and students, the possibility of professional rehabilitation and development of our teachers, the best organization of the school unit”. “And the substitutes should actually carry out replacement work and not permanent educational work”, he concluded.
In particular, with a decision signed by the Minister of Education and which, according to the ministry, has been sent for publication in the Government Gazette, the number by branch and specialty or specialization, as well as the area of ​​appointment, of the positions to be filled with permanent appointments is announced and the prospective teachers who are registered in the final evaluation tables of Primary and Secondary General Education are invited to submit a statement of preference for permanent appointment in specific appointment areas, within an exclusive period of five days.
After the publication of the decision in the Official Gazette, more details about its content will be known, as well as the exact deadline within which the interested parties will be able to apply for appointment.
