The photos of two dead horses found in Parnitha are shocking. The animals were found on hard-to-reach cliffs, a few kilometers north of the Municipality of Phylis by volunteers who feed stray animals in the area. According to complaints from animal lovers, the animals were thrown alive by their owners and met a torturous death, having suffered serious injuries from the fall.
“It was no coincidence that the competent authorities since 2008 did not want to pass the registration and identification of equines.
When we started the complaints to the European Union to force the Greek state to implement the European regulation, everyone laughed at us and not a single one was found to help us with the legal costs or cooperate with us.
In October 2022, the Ministerial Decision was finally issued.

In a letter, the Panhellenic Philanthropic and Environmental Federation requests that those responsible be found immediately.
