The animals were found on hard-to-reach cliffs, a few kilometers north of the Municipality of Phylis by volunteers who feed stray animals in the area. According to complaints from animal lovers, the animals were thrown alive by their owners and met a torturous death, having suffered serious injuries from the fall.

In October 2022, the Ministerial Decision was finally issued.

In a letter, the Panhellenic Philanthropic and Environmental Federation requests that those responsible be found immediately.
