The Metropolitan of Hierotheos, Mr. Hierotheos, continues his visits to the Holy Temples of the Diocese of Aetolia and Acarnania.
According to information from agriniopress, His Eminence is aware of the situation that prevailed in large and small Parishes of the Diocese, regarding the complete absence of sanitary measures, non-compliance with the decisions of the Holy Synod, as well as extreme cases of overcrowding, non-use of masks etc.
In fact, it is said that very recently remarks were made in a large parish of Agrinio, about the large number of chairs that were found inside the church.
Just a few days ago, a document of Mr. Hierotheos reached the hands of the clergy, where everyone is called to observe the decisions of the Holy Synod and it is meaningfully reminded that the observance of the Ecclesiastical Hierarchy has been accepted by the clergy of all ranks, from the moment of their ordination.
The Metropolitan of Nafpaktos points out in his document to preachers, pastors of temples, etc., that no one has the right to behave carelessly towards the great gift of God, which is biological life. A biological life, which is a function of Salvation, as he notes.
Thus, he demands faithful observance of the decisions of the Hierarchy of Greece, something that as is well known did not apply to many churches of the Diocese of Aetolia and Acarnania. He reminds that the faithful should come to the temples with masks and keep their distance from each other.
They should also have the required certificates with them, although he reminds that the Permanent Holy Synod considers that the control of these documents by the ecclesiastical bodies is practically impossible.
The same document also emphasizes the obligation of all those involved in the operation of the temples (clergy, nuns, cantors, workers, etc.) and who are not vaccinated, to perform two diagnostic tests per week, at their own expense. The clergy are even obliged to send the results of these inspections to the Diocese, something that according to information, also did not happen during the blessed Metropolitan Kosmas.
Finally, the clergy are asked to inform who is vaccinated and who is not vaccinated.
