Finger of the Turkish authorities, specifically her turkish gendarmerie, the people charged with guarding our borders see.

This is a coordinated plan to promote dozens of irregular migrants from Turkey to Greece at the Evros border. In fact, according to officials of the border guard, there is a strong movement of immigrants in Turkish territories, with movements of people under the supervision, but also the coordination of the Turkish gendarmerie.

It is indicative that Turks are not removing the migrants, seeking to expel them to Greek lands, with border guard officials speaking for a plan to remove immigrants to Greece. At the moment they are able to pass migrants from many parts of the Evros, thanks to the low water level.

From last Thursday until today they have been in our country 236 irregular migrants, with the Greek forces having increased, as have the patrols.

The problem in Evros is concentrated in almost all the places where there is no fence, with small groups of migrants gathering in front of them:

“The Greek authorities are taking the necessary actions so that, with respect to national, EU and international law, any illegal entry of foreigners into the country is prevented.

“In recent days, the low water level of the river Evros favors the illegal crossing of migrants, using islets that fall on both Greek and Turkish territory. On such an islet, about eighty immigrants ended up in the Greek part.

“The Greek government has appealed to the Turkish government, which was sworn in yesterday, to coordinate the border authorities and prevent illegal crossings.”
