A serious traffic accident occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, June 24, after a vehicle collision on the main road of Nea Artaki, where a 37-year-old Roma man died and 3 minor children were injured.

According to the data that the police authorities have in their hands, the traffic accident seems to have been premeditated.

In particular, the ICF in which three Roma were riding, one of whom was the 37-year-old who lost his life, was heading upstream towards Chalkida, when an ICF from the opposite direction tried to ram it, with the 37-year-old avoiding the collision, when a a second lorry tried to do the same, and eventually collided with the vehicle.

The two passengers, together with the children who were inside, as soon as they realized that there was going to be a collision, moved away from the vehicle, while in his attempt to move away, the 37-year-old was also seriously injured by the inevitable collision.

The 37-year-old was initially transported by a private vehicle to the Chalkida Hospital, when during the transport an EKAB ambulance was found heading to the scene and picked up the young man from the private vehicle.

The 37-year-old father of three and grandfather ended up in the hospital a few hours later.

According to information, the authorities are looking for the perpetrators of the traffic accident while they proceed to analyze all the evidence to clarify the case.
